Ocean Currents Map for North America Section of an ocean currents map for Newport, RI Reed's Nautical Almanacs offer information about ocean currents including an ocean currents map broken into coastal sections for both the East coast and West coast of North America and the Caribbean. We publish three regional editions of our nautical almanac, each including ocean currents map sections for the featured region. Each ocean currents map features the lattitude-longitude location, plus the direction and speed of the ocean currents along the coastline. Our ocean current maps correspond to the coastal tidal current tables also featured in our publications. Our current tables indicate the tidal current curves and cycles based on a 24-hour clock. Our North American East Coast edition contains current tables, ocean current maps and current charts for Nova Scotia to the Texas/Mexico border. Our North American West Coast edition contains current tables, ocean current maps and current charts from Kodiak, Alaska through the Baja Peninsula in Mexico. Our Caribbean edition contains current tables, ocean current maps and current charts for the entire Caribbean basin including Southern Florida and the Bahamas. OCEAN CURRENT MAPS FROM A RELIABLE SOURCEOur accurate ocean current maps are the result of careful data collection from several national hydrographic offices including the U.S. National Ocean Service (NOS) the Canadian Hydrographic Service (CHS) and the United Kingdom Hydrographic Service. We also present our tidal current tables and charts in a customized format developed with expert software from Nautical Software, Inc. Our current tables are corrected for Daylight Saving time where necessary and include sunrise and sunset times for the middle and end of each month. EAST COAST OCEAN CURRENT MAPS
The North American East Coast Edition of Reed's Nautical Almanac includes an ocean current map for 26 primary reference stations located on the East and Gulf coasts of North America. Each ocean currents map is organized in the same order as the tide tables in our book, beginning with stations in Nova Scotia and proceeding South along the Atlantic coast, through Florida and then North and West along the Gulf of Mexico.
WEST COAST OCEAN CURRENT MAPS
Reed's Nautical Almanac North American West Coast edition contains ocean current maps for Pacific coastal locations from Kodiak, Alaska through the Baja peninsula in Mexico. The West Coast edition contains ocean currents map information for 48 reference stations including coverage for Puget Sound, British Columbia inside passage and the Hawaiian Islands.
CARIBBEAN OCEAN CURRENT MAPS Reed's Almanac Caribbean edition contains an ocean currents map for 15 reference stations from South Florida through the Gulf Coast of Mexico. This publication also contains hundreds of secondary tidal current predictions—a unique blend of data from different governments.
